The Commodore Hotel, Cobh

The Commodore Hotel, Cobh
The sun starts to set behind the Commodore, with a liner moored on the quays beyond

Welcome

Welcome to our blog! We hope to keep you upto date with things that are happening in the Hotel and in the surrounding area of Cobh.

As you can see by the above two pictures we are right by the sea in a stunning location, overlooking Cork Harbour, the second largest harbour in the world.

Many of the world's largest cruise liners visit the harbour and berth, as you can see above, within a stone's throw of the hotel. Some of these ships are truly massive and the sight of them navigating up the harbour towards the quays is indeed impressive. The main shipping channel passes right in front of the hotel and is only 100yds away!!! 63 liners are expected for the 2014 season and for a full list of which ships are arriving and on what dates have a look here.
