All the gang were on a training/familiarisation trip yesterday which took in the history of the Commodore Hotel, a guided walk on the Titanic Trail, and a tour of the Titanic Experience. Here the gang are just about to enter the Titanic Experience which they enjoyed immensely. The Titanic Experience is housed in the original White Star Line Offices and it is through this building that the 123 passengers who departed Cobh on Titanic would have be processed. After going through the necessary formalities they would have congregated on the dock behind the building before boarding one of the two tenders, Ireland and America, from the White Star Line pier, which can still be seen today!
The Titanic Experience tells the story of Titanic through the eyes of those passengers who boarded Titanic from Queenstown. This story is recreated using innovative audio visual technology which brings it to life using cinematic shows, scene sets, holographic imagery, and touch screen technology. Its a must see on any visit to Cobh!
